CLIC Program at Proctor School

CLIC Program (Creative Learning Integrated Curriculum)
is a part publicly/privately funded program in its eighth year (started in 2011) at Proctor School in the Topsfield Elementary Schools.  CLIC was created and run by educator Jen LaRussa until 2016. The CLIC Program was then run by educator Kristen Cahill. In 2019, Jen LaRussa returned to run CLIC .

CLIC is a unique public school program since it's sole mission is to support creativity and innovative hands on learning before, during, and after school.

I am deeply grateful to all of the people and organizations who have actively supported my unique mission.
CLIC program has been creatively funded by the commitment of the Topsfield community through:

  • 2011-2013-a two year grant from the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation.
  • 2013-2014-grant from the Topsfield Educational Foundation, Topsfield PTO, and through other community, business, and  family donations.
  • 2014-present-The Topsfield Elementary School Committee approved funding the CLIC teacher salary.
  • All of the materials used in CLIC still comes from private fundraising and donations.

CLIC Program Mission
  • Give immediate creative support to the teachers to enhance the learning experience for the whole school.
  • Create opportunities for schools to collaborate with parents & community to create a strong unified sense of community for our children.
  • Focus on self esteem by giving children many opportunities to become active in after school academic clubs and community outreach activities.
